About Camarilla Pivot Points
The Camarilla Pivots Indicator, documented at best-metatrader-indicators.com, forexmt4indicators.com, and nordman-algorithms.com, is a modified version of the classic Pivot Point indicator for MetaTrader 4 that incorporates fixed-multiplier calculations (introduced by Nick Scott in 1989) rather than the standard pivot formula.
Unlike standard Pivot Points, the Camarilla method applies a fixed multiplier of 1.1 to the previous session's high-low spread, distributing the resulting levels symmetrically around the closing price. It plots support levels labelled L1-L4 and resistance levels labelled H1-H4 as dot-dashed lines. Traders typically look for bullish candlestick patterns near the L1-L4 support levels (for long entries), and bearish rejection patterns near the H1-H4 resistance levels (for short entries).
